how to use animation layer with additive mode and root motion applied?
The same layer works if i make the mode override. but it causes some camera issue.
I want to use additive mode with root motion applied.

Additive layer works with root motion applied. Are you using a layer mask to exclude/include the root node from affecting the additive layer?
Can you describe in more detail 'camera issue'? This camera issue should be unrelated to mecanim layers unless the camera is parented to the part of the character being affected by the override/additive layer.
Please refer screenshot.
The camera issue i meant was the character is pulled upward from ground and from capsule collider which is only happening when i apply override mode. Character is parented to camera.
I think its because of avatar mask. im not sure what avatar to use. i tried using base layer's actual avatar mask and separately created one. Nothing helps.
Im stuck here , please help. thanks.

I've seen this before - I believe it has something to do with one of two things, either the root node pivot point, or the character meshes pivot point. I remember it was a simple fix, turning on or off something within the inspector panel with the character selected.
Consider checking the 3rd person controller essential pack - with the Unity guy that carries the wrench. I seem to remember this issue happening in that scene, and a simple check/uncheck solved the issue. Sorry I can't help more - I'm not at a ter$$anonymous$$al with Unity.
@theAN$$anonymous$$ATOR2b I fixed it. It was because of the animation from blender is imported with its own camera on it. Removing the camera from it solves the problem. Now additive itself working fine. Thank you man.
