[META] What is the etiquette for answering older questions?
If a question reaches a certain age, is it considered rude or improper to answer it?

Agreed. UA is a knowledge base, meaning it is here for people to search and find answers to any questions 'young or old'.
From personal experience, it is actually frustrating doing a search, finding a similar question without an answer. So any help providing an answer is appreciated =]
I gave it the meta tag, because it's obviously related to UA.
I don't think the age of the thread matters. $$anonymous$$ost of the time you reach a thread because you googled for the problem anyway. It's not like you just read what's on the frontpage. Why shouldn't you answer a thread only because it's old?

This isn't a forum, so "necro posting" isn't really a thing here. Old questions sometimes have answers which get outdated, so new answers are fine. Or sometimes the existing answer could be improved.
