Unity 4: problem with DOF on iOS
Hi everyone!
We are using Unity 4 Pro, and we have a question related to DOF It seems in unity 4 that effect could be supported on mobile devices, but when we apply that effect on a camera, it looks good on the editor, but when we compile on ipad, all the screen gets blurry, as you can see in the screenshots attached. Any ideas about what can be happening?
Thinking of performance on older devices your best bet is to fake it. $$anonymous$$obile isn't quite there yet.
We've already published the game, as you say we made a fake dof, making a progressive blend between two textures. Is free to download if you'd like to see the result:

I've managed to get this: http://www.photonworkshop.com/index.php/blog/dof-bloom-package/ to work with any shader using a depth pass camera. Works pretty well.

Hello, I think i am late :D I have to do something like you have done but i am unable to do it. I badly need help here as i am stuck on this for almost a week. The links mentioned her rare not working anymore i guess. Please describe how did mange to get DOF on mobile?
