How can the User import their own images?

I want the User to be able to import a bunch of images from their photo library.

Have you ever seen one of those simple LISTS Apps? The ones that you list out a bunch of things you need to do today, then check off. I'd like the user to be able to import a photo from their photo library, or take a photo of the item they need, and have it appear next to the list item words.

So you'd have: A Picture, then the words"Hot-Dogs", then a Check-box for done/not-done.

Can unity DO this? Is there an example, tutorial, etc, on how?
