shadersalphafading problem
A way to fade in/out entire rooms with varied materials and shaders?
If I were making a top-down 3/4th view game, and wanted to load the next room when you open a door and not want it to just appear at once, how would I go about doing that? I can't imagine just going through every single material and making sure they're all semi-transparent shaders then lerping their alpha values is practical.
Is there a better way?

Or, create an opaque cube that fully encompasses the room geometry (or, a plane that obscures it from the camera view), coloured with whatever your "background" texture is, then just fade that out to reveal the room underneath it.
