How can I get a split clip's fbx parent name?
I'm working on trying to write up some code that sets animation clips on a character at runtime. She has a couple hundred animation files and a number of them have split animations within them. Now initially we have to have all these clips assigned to her when we first set up the game as we slot them into some cinematic sequences and so on, but having them all assigned to her in the final product is too memory intensive.
Is there a way via script to get the name of the actual animation fbx file the clip came from? If all of the files had single animations where the clip was the exact name of the file then this wouldn't be a problem at all, I'm just confused as to how I can ever get the name of the file a split clip came from so I can reference that later. We store the name of the assigned clip in the sequence itself, so I have that string forever, just trying to figure out how to get the actual fbx's name at some point.
