Detect face Expressions threw device camera....
Hi Guys......Hope you all are doing well.......All my concern is to Detect the face expression by using Device Camera.....And on based upon the Certain action detected by camera....Play kind of animation or perform predefined actions......means if user is moving his hand on head.....Then perform combing style of animation......i don't know whether this idea is possible with unity or not...but want to try it out.....Any kind of help will be much appreciated....And Sorry for the bad English and Explanation.....If you are providing script then please provide in C# only.......
Try looking up an open source face detection software or something similar, that might help you out, other then that, I have no idea :)
This is such a big and complicated subject that.. it's big. It's basically not related to Unity, because I'm sure the Unity API doesn't include events such as OnUserSmiling().. so you have to implement it. If you can access the camera and take image information out of it, you can process the image with some API/Tool for computer vision related things.
OpenCV is widely used in computer vision as per my knowledge, and it has .NET language wrappers, which you could use from Unity scripts. It's got some built-in functionality related to face recognition. If you've got the face, you can compute the movement of the head of course between frames.

Actual facial expressions should be way harder to correctly catch.
