copy read only animation?
can you copy a read only animation? i need to put add event into an animation i made in blender but cant find how to copy the animation so i can edit it

yes, just duplicate it! command+d in mac os x (control+d in windows?)
The duplicated copy will be editable and you should be able to add events in it.
this is great to add events of sound for footstep walk cycle animation .
