Why is the Document Outline View blank in MonoDevelop 4.0.1?
I just updated to Unity 4.3 that comes with the new MonoDevelop 4.0.1. Whenever I open a javaScript document in MonoDevelop, the Document Outline View is blank. This issue does not occur when I open a C# document. This is important to me since I have large files and I need to navigate through the methods quickly. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you for your help.
Any updates on this? The Document outline is crucial for me and don't understand why it doesn't work anymore!
Sorry for the insistence but this is a major issue to my project. Navigating code takes a lot longer and I can't still find a solution online. Is this a issue that affects everyone? Are there any solutions? I'll probably need to revert back Unity and wanted to be sure there are other solutions.
The problem is still there for me. I've been using Ctrl+F to get around, but I'm hoping they fix this soon.

i need this too, for now use the list below the tab bar
Thanks, I know about that list but it's really inconvenient to use, specially when you have a lot of variables. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue, I hope they fix it.
Thanks for the tip. Didn't see the tab list. It's enough to get me by.
I'm going nuts with this....you can't even quickly go through the methods on that little window. You can't just see the methods and no fields...and you cant make the window bigger!! Is there any other solution to this very frustrating situation?
Have you tried my solution below? It's working fine over here with unity 4.3 using the monodevelop installed from unity 4.2.0
I haven't tried it yet because I ended up realizing its not a feasible one. Installing 2 different version of unity just to have an older monodevelop is too complicated (but I might have to end up doing it). If they had a standalone version of the unity monodevelop then I would have tried it by now.

Try downloading an older version of unity sayy around 4.2.0 to a different folder and under edit -> properties, reference the older version of monodevelop?
Seems to work over here for me, monodevelop version no is 2.8.2
thanks, will try that. Was monodevelop fixed on 4.3.4 by chance?
