How to use relativeVelocity to AddForce to the Rigidbody?
I am making a VR putt putt game for my college final project, Unity Physics and physics and physics materials are not moving the ball properly when hit (it is dragging along the collider and not moving fluidly or far). The putter club face itself is a box collider with no material. My teacher recommended using the relativeVelocity to add the force of the swing (collision) to the ball, but I am struggling to connect the two with the OnCollision function. Any and all advice to translate the relativeVelocity of the collision to propel the ball forward across the putt-putt hole would be greatly appreciated! Also, any advice for Unity Physics improvement of the gameplay turf would be great. At the moment the turf on the holes are just boxcolliders with no material, should I leave it as this or add a material (or create a custom one?) to simulate grass friction (if anyone has made a custom material to simulate grass please share friction and drag values).
Thank you so much!
