Help with SpringFollowCamera
Hello,
I'm a total beginner and I'm stuck. I've downloaded the 3D tutorial from the Unity website that uses Lerpz and run through it. Now I'm trying to get something working on my own without the tutorial holding my hand.
All I want to do is get the camera to follow my character around as he walks. That's it. But I can't even manage that. I have created a scene. I have created a camera. I have created a GameObject called Player and added the Lerpz prefab from the tut. I have added the SpringFollowCamera script to the camera, added the ThirdPersonController script to the Player and linked everything up so I get no Null Exception / Obj reference not set... errors. But nothing. The camera doesn't sit behind my characters head like it does in the tut - in fact it doesn't do anything.
Can someone please post a simple step by step guide that will help me to get this running?
Thanks.
I don't have any Unity-capable PC around, so I can't test any of the tutorial scripts. By any chance, do you have more than one camera in your scene? Does the ThirdPersonController come with any cameras attached to it? Just checking...
