AssetStore declined because did not follow installation guide

hi, last week i have submitted an asset to the asset store. today i received an email from the unity QA team explaining that my asset was crashed during the test and they had to decline the asset. i noticed the crash will only happen if the playmakerglobal is not imported properly into the project.

i have documented this installation guide in the asset, explaining how to import the playmaker global variable. but it seem that the QA team did not follow the installation guide i wrote thus lead the project to crash. i have replied an email to the QA team (bugs@unity.com) explaining how to install the asset for the 2nd time. but I'm afraid it will took them a long time to respond to my email. do i have to wait for their reply and review my asset again (is this possible? how is the workflow for the review process? is it possible decline status to become pending review again?), or is it better if i reupload the asset again and return back to the back of the review queue.

have anyone encountered this situation?

You need their approval, that much is certain. Reviews can take a week (more if there's a conference, like Unite, around)

How is it it crashes? I think for compliance, you code should detect that a piece is missing and warn (at least in the console) about what is wrong and how to fix it.

I think the asset store folks have their own email but support@unity3d.com may help

To add, I would suggest both resubmitting AND sending an e-mail, explaining that you resubmitted. If things get bad, you can send Caitlyn $$anonymous$$eeks (Asset Store manager) a private message at the Unity Forums. She is pretty quick to respond.

Hi there,

Thanks very much for your submission to the Asset Store.

Due to copyright concerns, we generally do not take content that is a direct recreation of existing popular games as template projects. We love to see complete projects based off of creative game play mechanics, but will not be considering any submissions that appear to deliberately modify existing themes and/or artistic styles as their own. Consistent with the criteria considered in our approval process, we have chosen not to publish this asset. However, we greatly appreciate the time and effort spent in preparing your submission.
