How can I get an object to orientate behind a plane?
I know this question sounds odd, so let me explain it in detail:
Building a stuntplane game, where the camera follows a path with a plane affixed a small distance ahead that acts as an interactive plane in front of the camera. The camera then follows a track, with the plane leading a distance ahead, catching raytraces from the player's cursor. A jetplane, serving as the player, then follows the cursor.
Or, more, should. At present, the jet follows the cursor on the X and Y axis of the plane, and is locked 32 units behind it on the Z axis. In theory, this should mean that the jet should follow the plane at a fixed distance, but as the camera rotates on the path, the jet remains orientated on the world Z axis, causing it to 'pass' the interactive plane an even start flying back towards the camera. Does anyone know how I can get the jet to remain orientated towards the plane, and remain 32 units away from both the plane and the camera?
