$$anonymous$$nowing how to program would certainly help, but it's not a prerequisite. Try to make pong. It'll require a few scripts. Google for tutorials. Good luck.

You can't really use Unity to do very specific things if you don't know how to write lines of code.

I would start with learning program$$anonymous$$g. But you can learn program$$anonymous$$g using Unity ;)

I learned to program a few years ago because I wanted to make a game. It's totally possible. I would recommend learning c# ins$$anonymous$$d of javascript. Trust me - it's so much better in the long run.

Im currently tring to learn c# as I go without any previous coding experience. Its hard to make things even with a youtube tutorial because i don't fully understand code. I would try the roll a ball tutorial if you can do that easy enough try and learn from youtube if not i would say just learn c# beforehand

seriously :/ your title throws me off, it really doesn't matter it's easier to just learn inside of your engine because some engines handle things differently. But it's completely your choice.

I would suggest learning how to use Unity and learning how to program at the same time. They both go hand in hand, and allow you to understand Unity and Programming at its full potential: Together.
