Question by lampshade · Feb 05, 2011 at 01:04 AM · collidersonparticlecollision

Collide with Non-Moving Particle

Apparently, particles MUST be moving (i.e. have velocity > 0) to trigger the WPC and invoke On Particle Collision! Also, setting the velocity to be > 0 and marking the prefab as static does NOT prevent it from moving..Is there a way that I can acheive a non-moving particle and still trigger WPC and invoke OPC?

Thanks in advance.

So I set the rigidbody to both the player and the prefab to continous. Its better, OPC is invoked more frequently, but its not as fast as an update..which is prefered.

No thats not it..Good thing I saved the property values in a text file. To collide with single particle in order to invoke OPC the players collider(s) have to be extremely big.
