2D Texture Depth? (From script)

Hey guys, i need to know how to layer a texture underneath another, the unique problem is that this texture is not the default component called from unity, its called from a java script.

So, currently it is interfering with another object (which is a default unity texture). Changing its depth via camera layers, or manipulating the transform doesnt work.

Any suggestions?

I've tried GUI.depth = -1;
