Will finished Unity games be ready for distrubtion?
If I were to complete a game in Unity, would I need to take additional steps to make it compatible with Steam specifically. Possibly other websites. Thanks.
Yes. You need to get approved on S$$anonymous$$m Greenlight, and then you are given access to the S$$anonymous$$m API tools that will allow you to add code to your game like S$$anonymous$$m Community/Chat integration, Cloud Saves and Achievements. So there will be more work to do if you get accepted on Greenlight.
As for other websites, no, there shouldn't be any other work.. If you can already launch it from an EXE fine. Although you may want to create an installer for it using some other software, just to make it be more professional and organized.
