Do multiple cameras impact performance?
Obviously I realize if the same geometry is being drawn multiple times that will slow things down, but if I have two cameras whose culling masks are setup such that no geometry is being drawn twice, will this impact performance when compared to a single camera drawing all geometry?
Are you going to make something that has the same effect as the $$anonymous$$usicClip: '3 words by cheryl cole ft will.i .am? (awesome!:P)
I think 2 camera's will slow your game down more than 1 camera would do, but this also depends on the amount of camera effect's you have. If the camera's don't render the same parts of the scene I think it won't be that much slower. But I can only base this on 3 months experience with Unity so don't take my word for it ;)
After we put a second camera pointing to a plane, fps drop to half :(
Set its layers to discount unneeded rendering. See what your profiler is saying.

There's overhead in having additional cameras, but it's minimal and unlikely to have any real effect on speed.
$$anonymous$$any cameras' Clear operations will slow down the rendering?
