Where are asset labels stored?
Our team is using asset labels to dynamically load prefabs with certain labels. However sometimes labels we have set seem to disappear. Where do these get stored? Is it in the local asset database?
We are using SVN for version control. I would love to see them stored in a text file like the ones in the new ProjectSettings folder, or perhaps in the .prefab file.
Six years later ...
With text serialization turned on (see Asset Serialization on this page) labels are stored in the .meta file associated with each asset.
