Marked as "Legacy" ?
Today I tested some animations, the most did't work. It says: *"AnimationClip 'Idler_ToIdle_1' used by the Animation component 'Soldier_f_0' must be marked as "Legacy".
I know it sounds a little bit stupid, but how to mark things?

Go to the project pane and click on the model that you are working with. Then, in the inspector go to the rig tab and set the animation type drop down menu as Legacy. Hope it helps!
What if you don't have a character? Just a GameObject with an Animation component on it? I asked a similar question recently and got no answers- apparently since 4.3 you cannot create a new animation clip for the legacy Animation component anymore.
Ooooh, ok. So now I get it. The model must be marked as Legacy. That's why the warning says the animation clip must be marked as Legacy. -headdesk-
