character controller script
**strong text**I have a biped character that is simply rigged in Maya.
I want to play one simple animation on this character in a simple scene in Unity.
I have exported this character (fbx) and have it setup with an avatar in Unity. It is in a T pose. Added a capsule collider and a rigid body.
I believe I also need an animator so that I can control the character and add future blend trees.
I have imported into my scene a simple idle animation that moves more than a normal idle. I used the charactername@idle naming recommended by Unity.
Do I need a character control script to tie this all together??
If yes, is there a place where I can find a 3rd person character control script template that I can build onto or modify?
Look at Standard Assets / Character Controllers / 3rd Person

Right click in project tab, import package, character controller. It will add first person and third person controller. You can then add your rig to that first/third person controller you select.
