Writing cross-platform Unity plugins using Xamarin
Hi,
Is it possible to write cross-platform Unity plugins using the Xamarin APIs?
If yes, what would be the procedure to go about doing it? Are you aware of any documentation or reference that might be useful?
I'm asking this because I want to minimize my learning curve for developing unity plugins. After a lot of experimentation, I've just begun understanding the intricacies of C#. If I have to learn two other languages (Java and Objective-C) that would greatly impede my progress.
Thanks.

I think this (Android) can help you.
I'll definitely look into it.
After some more reading, I found that Xamarin and Unity use different $$anonymous$$ono Runtimes. Though, I'm not sure about how that affects my scenario.
I think this doesn't matter because you have to build for each OS a own File (for example: iOS=.mm file, Android=.jar file, ...), but if i understood right: Xamarin support the building of a .jar file.
I try both Java Library Binding and Android Library Projects mentioned in the aforementioned link, always get UnityPlayer class missing error. Did anyone have clue?
