Joystick Input - "3rd Axis" etc, not sure what works/doesn't
I've decided this is a good night to start getting my game set up with a USB joystick. I've got one that's shown in the image. However, the basic movement (top-down 3rd person) will be controlled by the left joystick.
On the pre-settings, X-Axis and Y-Axis for Horizontal and Vertical, the input is always 1, 0 or -1, no fractions. If I switch the Horizontal to "3rd Axis", it seems to work with fractions. However, there is no comparable setting for Y-Axis.
I'm not sure if this is something I can fix or if maybe my controller is just cheap? Anyone know about this?
THANKS!

There seems to be an "Analog" button or switch on your controller. Have you tried pressing/switching it? My guess would be you're getting digital input cause you're in "digital mode".
Indeed that was it! I suppose this is what i get for never having played anything beyond the N64! :D
