Creating a Self Improvement Sandbox Game
Hi all
Im looking at creating a game that allows the player to practice self improvement techniques and methods, learn new skills and methods of personal growth and exercise of mind power, and use the attractive moldable 3d environment as a metaphor to face their fears and create personal change. Think skyrim meets 'the secret' with a pinch of minecraft and a dash of second life
What i want to do is to be able to create an RPG style environment with menu's that facilitate personal growth and teach metaphysical principles
Say for example a mini game is teaching vibration, the player would practice going from feeling bad to feeling good....and the player would self correct through the input on the screen
The environment to be moldable and the player to be able to create new things in it, especially monuments where they can add text. Their own space where they can embed videos, pictures etc on a board would be great
Id like the game to be multiplayer, so that other players could act as teachers and students of the in-game ideas
it would be great if players could create their own houses, and place things that they are interested in and store their 'self-inventory' in their home
menu's would need to be designed so they could have many varied responses to inputs, as well as for the player to create their own text based menus. This way the player can control their progress
would this be possible within Unity? What aspects would i need to focus on within this platform?
Thank you
Nothing here is impossible, but some things may be hard, and how they would be accomplished may vary by platform. Unity Answers is designed for answering single, specific questions. A design question like this one should be asked on Unity Forums ins$$anonymous$$d.
Possible...sure. Possible for you and within your lifetime...probably not. As douchy as that sounds, this project is way to ambitious.
