How do I fix my character facing the wrong direction without messing up moving it?
I have a stickman prefab( c# movement script, model made in blender, and some box colliders ) that I've been testing 2D movement with that faces the wrong way, so I rotated it 90 degrees. The problem is that this messes up my movement code. When I don't rotate it, I can move by translate along x axis and it works just fine. When I do rotate it, I have to change it so that it translates along the z axis instead, which is not desirable.
How do I fix it so that my character will face the correct direction without having to rotate it?

Create a new GameObject.
Attach the movement script to the newly created GameObject.
Child your stickman prefab to the locomotor GameObject and rotate to face the correct direction.
Hit play and make sure that it works.
