How to make giant RPG terrains with WM for Unity
Hi. I have some questons: what settings to use in World Machine, to get a decent RPG terrain in Unity? What bitmap resolution should be? How many KM2 the map should have for best results? What is the terrain size recommended in Unity?(4000X4000?) I have seen this video with some guys presenting their RPG and I am wondering how to achieve making a map like that?

there are third party solutions. here is a terrain of over 99999 meters radius, 66million triangles low resolution, 200million high resolution total per map, made of as many noise functions as you can put into a map, up to 100 for example, and about 1 million triangles visible around the camera at any time of play, adjusteable according to platforms etc, multithreaded:
