Children Object rotation/position get reset after Initializing Animation Recording
I am trying to add an Animation to a Character that has already been set to the 'default' position that I wish to have, I intend for it to only be basic such as an Idle animation of just slight movement and a interacting Anim when the player comes into the shop, though I've found that the moment I press the record button, half of the Children Objects (Mainly Spines and Hips) get reset back to their original 'T-Pose' position and don't retain the position/rotation that I had assigned earlier, is there a way to stop this from happening? or at least for me to be able to copy all children positions and then when the Anim Recorder decides to reset them I can just paste the copied positions in? I also understand I may get a few responses saying "WHY USE UNITY FOR ANIMATIONS?!?!" and the answer for that is it's the only thing I am confident in Animating in and for my Game Animations are certainly not the selling point, they are just to add a bit of liveliness to the scene. So to spend weeks/months learning a new way of animating is not ethical nor logical for a project that will only ever have a handful of 'very basic' animations.
I have provided a video below to demonstrate what is actually happening - any help would be greatly appreciated:
