Traffic Script

I am a fairly new unity user. Currently, I am trying to make a traffic system similar to gta, but I don't know where to start. I need cars and people to spawn when within a certain radius of the player, and I need the cars to drive on the road, and the people to walk on the sidewalk. How exactly should I be thinking about this? Thanks.

Hello, firstly, you can easily find car 3d models on the 3d-model websites for free or better quality ones that are priced. Secondly, you shouldn't be asking for others to do work for you. How will you feel accomplished if someone gave you a fully complete traffic system that you could just slip into your scene and have it work? There must be a tutorial out there, somewhere.

This is a very broad question not meant for UA. Have a look at the resources provided in the links below. This should give you a good idea of where to start.

Unity Cookie

UnityCar

Rain AI

Instantiate Documentation(For "Spawning")

Anyone else is either going to give you the same answer, or tell you to look on the collaboration page for a $$anonymous$$m to work with. If you don't appreciate people going out of their way to give you the resources you need to get started, then look forward to a world of upset here on UA. You're asking a very technical question with many issues that can be easily covered in the resources I've linked you to. There is a Car tutorial, a Car physics package, as well as a gateway to anything you could think of that has to do with Unity in my answer. If you don't want to learn how to use Unity or to code on your own, then you need to look for a $$anonymous$$m to work for you. We don't just throw example projects at you with the code for everything you need here. If you don't know Unity classes, you won't be able to do much. Take a look at the Unity Script Reference, as well as the links above. Otherwise, good luck having someone do the work for you. You can't be NEW to Unity and just pull a GTA game out of your ass, just saying. Anyway, good luck in your developing, I hope you learn to appreciate the feedback you get when you ask a question, if not, well that sucks because I like to see people succeed when they want to learn how to use Unity. Have a good one.

I linked you to an AI system. I linked you to the Unity tutorials page where you can find a car tutorial. If it's no longer there, it can be found in the Asset Store HERE. I also linked you to UnityCar package which has a free version that includes car physics that you can tweak in the inspector, along with some free car models. I've given you AI, Car models and physics, and a Car tutorial... I'm not sure what more you want except for someone to write you some scripts. I'm not telling you what you can or cannot do. You came off as new to Unity, you also came off as unwilling to learn by turning down the information provided, with a very rude attitude about it. Ins$$anonymous$$d of insulting those who try to help, perhaps you should say, "Thanks, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for" and be more detailed on what you're trying to achieve...

Okay well this post will remain closed, simply because the information I've provided will help those looking for similar means of getting started with the subjects you posted here. Come up with a detailed question on the character spawning subject you're talking, and ask it as a new question. $$anonymous$$yself and others will be happy to "try" to help you. Just try to refrain from saying "Thanks for nothing"... I don't take things personally and will do my best to help point you in the right direction, but not all users are as "nice" as me (lol). There are plenty of users here who can help you out with what you wish to accomplish, including myself. Just as a side note, I did edit my answer to include the documentation for Instantiations, you can instantiate your characters as prefabs... But for more specific help, post the question up.
