Question by cfloutier · Dec 20, 2010 at 05:16 PM · rigidbodytorqueangularvelocity

rigidbody has a max rotation velocity ?

I'm making a simple football game And I'd like to set the ball rotation when shooting to a high value. I've tried Many solution adding a constant torque, setting manually angular velocity. but anyway there seems to be a max angular velocity value. around 10 degree/second for my case....

I'm also tried to change inertiaTensorRotation and inertiaTensor without success.... set rotation speed remains limited to 10 degre per second.

Change the max angular velocity in the physics settings.

Is there anyway to do it per object?

Yes, it can be overridden per-object with rigidbody.maxAngularVelocity

Also! Don't forget to change the max angular velocity while the game is NOT playing. You won't see any change to the angular velocity until AFTER you restart playing the scene.

Just spent forever figuring out why the max velocity wasn't changing and it's because the setting doesn't update the game on the fly
