Retopology Maya Game Character
I am currently working on making a game character in Maya. Some context I just started 4 months with game development and character design, so I am new to this and learning all on my own.
During the retopology I only finished the body and head. No eyes, hair, or clothes. Just a naked character. The poly count is around:
98.000 faces 195.000 Tris
I am building a open world game 3D game for pc. I searched through the browser most say for pc 30.000 - 100.000 polycount is okay for pc game character. I am doubting that the amount of poly's I have is a bit to much, because the other things like hair, eyes and clothes are also needed with some textures. Do you think the poly count I have is enough? Or needs to be lowered?
