character controller/rigidbody at the sametime
hey everyone ,i hope this is a good title , my problem is i have a bouncy surface ,so when i add a rigidbody to a box ,the box bounces perfectly on the surface ,but when i add a rigidbody to my character ,the character won't bounce , the problem is my character controller script , when i deactivate my cc script the character bounces on the surface , so how can get my cc script to work with rigidbody at the same time ,btw im using the default cc script from unity , do i need to tweak something in the cc script , thanks here's the script ! : http://pastebin.com/kvsyj8PU
The charatcer controller applys a rigidbody the object through the Character controller script. You are conflicting it by adding your own rigidbody.
Bear in $$anonymous$$d the character controller is not of the rigidbody system though, it is in fact a work around script that has its own set of calculation s for such things as intersect slope limit etc . It uses translate over "movetowards", or "Addforce".
This will be why it isnt working for you.
investigate what im saying in Unity and get back to me to let me know if what i have said carries true to your situation
