Borderlands Style Proficiencies
I am trying to figure out how to do this. Where when I do damage with assault rifles it sends the damage amount to the Assault Rifle proficiency. Also the same for the other weapons. I have tried something like this :
enum gunTypes {assault, smg, shotgun, launcher, pistol, sniper}
I place this on my weapon and select the kind of weapon it is. Then I place this in my enemy script.
if(hitPoints <= 0.0 && determiner.gunTypes.assault){
//send the damage amount to the correct proficiency.
}
I know I am probably way off, but I hope that you are able to see what I am trying to do and what I am asking for help with. All I wanna do is if I attack with a shotgun, for it to send the amount of damage I hit on the enemy back to the Shotgun Proficiency ONLY. So its basically like a sorting system, and i am going to be sorting each of the weapons into one of the gunTypes listed above. Any help would be great. Thank you.
