Script to teleport player (Beginner here)

Hi, i'm new on Unity and I don't know how exactly this works, i know some Expression 2 (gmod) and some Javascript and i was wondering how could I make a script to make a player teleport to somewhere else or to where another object is when the player touches an object (or atleast, when the player distance to the object is less than 50, for example), since i'm completely new to this I'd be glad if somebody sent me a code that does that and explained me what every part of the code does so I can learn and it's not just me making a game with a frankenstein code. Sorry for my English, it's not my first language.
