Looking for Unity 5 tutorials for perfect 3rdperson Character Movement
My googling and youtube skills are not getting me anywhere... All the newer tutorials are showing off Mecanim movement-through-animation. The character "moves forward" because the animation has forward movement animated into it.. that's crap you get no player precision.
I want to find older, more accurate solutions where movement is not animated reliant. My Run Cycle animation runs on the spot, I want to control direction movement and rotation angles with code instead...
And not in Javascript either. And not 2D tutorials.
Anyone have links to such tutorials? not outdated. Many thanks.
There are plenty of tutorials out there to move objects with code. Don't google anything animation related, as you said, your animation has nothing to do with actual movement. Hell, you can just import the default unity character controller that controls a capsule and move the code from that to your character.
