There is no Dropdown menu in Unity

There is no Dropdown menu for the Animations to make them loop. Why is this?

There is. Read the documentation next time. Animation class : http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Components/class-AnimationClip.html

If you use mecanim just state on your state with your looping clips and it's done.
