Video player component with cutout or alpha texture in material
I'm trying to play a video (without an alpha channel) onto a sphere with an alpha texture in its material. Now since, the video component overrides the material at Play, the alpha texture gets overwritten with the video's render texture (that it creates at Play) Is there a way to not have the video player override the base material? Or something else that lets me play the video only on the part of the sphere that is visible? The video will not have an alpha channel. I want the video to be visible on the black lines and the cut faces should remain as they are. If you could guide me in the correct direction I would be glad of that help. Thanks in advance.
What you can probably do is play the video in materialoverride mode into a material property with a custom shader that is responsible for the alpha blend with your alpha texture
