How do you make a particle trail on another particle?
I'm using the shuriken particle system in case it matters.
Say I have a Surge Particle (That little concave shaped default particle). The surge would get a forward velocity and a smoke would trail behind it. I'd want to make another particle system of a smoke to trail behind it.
I accomplished it already, by making a smoke particle and setting it as the Surge Particle System's sub emitter. It emits on birth and works perfectly fine. Only problem is that it doesn't appear in scene view. Googling reveals that it's a bug that occasionally occurs. So that leaves that solution out of the question. Keeping that in mind, how else would I be able to make a particle trail behind the Surge particle? I tried making the shape of the smoke particle system a cylinder and setting the length as long as the distance covered by the surge, but it looks unnatural.
can you put two particle effects on top of eachother and work really hard tweaking values for the smoke like force over lifetime
