WheelCollider Friction Curve Explanation?

Hello,

I have been strugling to understand the two friction types the wheelCollider has.

I think I kinda understand the forward friction but I just cant the sideways.

I cant find any good tutorial to explain how they work and what each setting does. I am aware of that friction curve, but I still dont understand what it does. I know it outputs force, but what force? Where does it add it? To the wheel? To the car? Where? How can I make my car more stable, it is like drifting all the time!

Im just soooo confiused! Can some one explain them to me??? Please???
