i have variable in camera controller script which is target :transform i want it to change as i click on objects.and be that the same gameobject's transform i clicked as target.what do i do?
//I would name it "Camera Controller"
var target : Transform;
var distance = 10.0;
var cameraSpeed = 5;
var xSpeed = 175.0;
var ySpeed = 75.0;
var yMinLimit = 20; //Lowest vertical angle in respect with the target.
var yMaxLimit = 80;
var minDistance = 5; //Min distance of the camera from the target
var maxDistance = 20;
private var x = 0.0;
private var y = 0.0;
@script AddComponentMenu("Camera-Control/Mouse Orbit")
function Start () {
var angles = camera.eulerAngles;
x = angles.y;
y = angles.x;
// Make the rigid body not change rotation
if (rigidbody)
rigidbody.freezeRotation = true;
}
function LateUpdate () {
if (target && camera) {
//Zooming with mouse
distance += Input.GetAxis("Mouse ScrollWheel")*distance;
distance = Mathf.Clamp(distance, minDistance, maxDistance);
//Detect mouse drag;
if(Input.GetMouseButton(0)) {
x += Input.GetAxis("Mouse X") * xSpeed * 0.02;
y -= Input.GetAxis("Mouse Y") * ySpeed * 0.02;
}
y = ClampAngle(y, yMinLimit, yMaxLimit);
var rotation = Quaternion.Euler(y, x, 0);
var position = rotation * Vector3(0.0, 0.0, -distance) + target.position;
//When the target changed or moved, Move the camera smoothly with it.
cam.position = Vector3.Lerp (cam.position, position, cameraSpeed*Time.deltaTime);
cam.rotation = rotation;
//camera.LookAt(target);
}
}
static function ClampAngle (angle : float, min : float, max : float) {
if (angle < -360)
angle += 360;
if (angle > 360)
angle -= 360;
return Mathf.Clamp (angle, min, max);
}

Looks like you just have the standard mouse orbit script there. What you need to do is put a script on your objects that can be clicked on. Then, when they get clicked have them do a SendMessage to the camera script, and it set the variable. Something like
void OnClick() { camera.SendMessage("SetTarget",transform); }
then in your camera script make a method called SetTarget that sets the variable
public void SetTarget (Transform newTarget) { target = newTarget; }
That's just psuedo code, but it might get you started.
thank you @ harko12 . i will try that but i am not programmer i just copied that camera script and trying to get my things done with my project.
