Question by jmansa · Oct 31, 2013 at 09:36 PM · monodeveloploading filedreamweaver

Monodevelop not opening js files

I am running Unity on mac and for some reason, suddenly, when I double click on an .js file it opens dreamweaver and not monodevelop? When opening an C# file it opens in monodevelop?!?!?

It have worked just perfect until now!

Any ideas?

Try to check which external script editor has been set in your unity 3D environment. Choose 'Edit' --> 'Preferences...' --> 'general', and check if it set to the IDE you want to use for scripts.

You can also try to find your .js files on your computer, and then right click on it, and select open with. Here you select mono develop, and remember to attach the mark, so it remembers that all js files has to be opened using mono develop.

I hope this helps you, with your problem.

same problem here.... thanks for the solution... $$anonymous$$e listed '$$anonymous$$ono Develop "built in:' not Dreamweaver, I redirected it to '$$anonymous$$ono Develop' inside the Unity folder in Applications. works now thanks.

Please don't post comments as answers. I have corrected the two that were posted that way already.
