MeshCollider instead of CapsuleCollider for TreeBrush
Hey guys,
I looked arround to finde a way to make trees colliding with the player and so I found many guides about using the Capsule Collider. Yeah this is finde but if you want to have your charakter be able to walk over trees it is a really bad solution.
So I tried out the Mesh Collider and it fits perfectly onto my trees. Then I put the tree in a new prefab, saved it and brushed it arround a bit but the new brushed trees did not collide with my charakter.
Why doesn't it work?
$$anonymous$$esh colliders are expensive so use a custom lowpoly mesh which bounds the tree mesh ins$$anonymous$$d of using the actual tree mesh as $$anonymous$$esh Collider mesh.
$$anonymous$$ake sure the instanced trees are having a '$$anonymous$$esh Collider' component and under that the '$$anonymous$$esh' value shouldnt be 'none'.
If your $$anonymous$$eshCollider set to convex to collide with another mesh, then your mesh collider geometry should be limited to less than 255 traingles
