Animation Importer Not Recognizing Camera Animations
This problem is destroying my workflow :(
The Animation Importer only imports clips from skeletons/rigs in a .blend file
This could be a Blender specific problem, but nonetheless it is seriously annoying. I have tested this rigorously during the past several days (results here) and it seems as though any animations on regular objects (meshes/cameras/null objects/empties/locators) don't get imported at all. This is with Generic AND Legacy presets. The only time animations can import is if they are applied to an Armature in Blender. This is horrifying; if the Unity Importer can't do something as simple as recognizing animation on a Mesh for .blend files... I'm at a loss.
I can't export the file as an FBX because it seems to require specific components or namespaces--I have no clue what the issue is. See the link above for a picture of the clips. When I try to apply an FBX animation to a Unity Camera, it throws a "missing component" error.
I could've sworn in past versions of Unity (I'm using 5.3.5, not willing to upgrade due to loss of compatibility for older versions of MacOSX) that simple animations on a mesh were able to import. If I'm wrong, please correct me. This just seems like such a serious issue, and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Is this correct behaviour for the Importer? Thanks!
