programming help/teacher? c#
Hi im a noob programmer, and learning programming on the fly. Im currently working on a single player game similar to kingdom hearts which I will later attempt to convert to a online multi player game.
Im not great with programming so im learning as I go, and I was wondering if there was anyone who would be willing to help me or teach me as I go if I run into any problems and need assistance. I will provide my email/skype if anyones interested.
if you're just starting, set your goals to something more attainable. i've been making games for a very long time (first published in '87) so i have some experience.
it's great to want to make something like "kingdom hearts", but there's a lot that you need to learn before attempting something so ambitious. it's important that you understand the basics before embarking on larger projects. if you've not already done so, go through the various unity tutorials, they'll get you familiar with how unity does things. in particular, the scripting tutorials.
with regard to getting help, post questions here or on the forums, but make sure that you do it in a respectful way. if you've not done so already, watch the answers tutorial and read the faq. well written questions with relevant (and properly tagged!) code will help us help you.
finally, please do try to find answers yourself before posting here - we're willing to help, but you need to at least try. if you can't be bothered then why should we?
you don't want to be one of those people who spend more time co$$anonymous$$g up with a forum name than looking for answers ;)
walk, then run...
welcome to unity.
