script not working

so i am making a script that i die when i go on my "fallout" border but still hav it in my main script here is what i got (but it says "BCE0044 : expecting :, found '='. and if i do that it comes up to more errors leading to more and more)please help!!!

var speed = 3.0; var rotateSpeed = 3.0; var bullitPrefab:Transform; private var dead = false;

function OnControllerColliderHit(hit : ControllerColliderHit)

    if(hit.gameObject.tag == "fallout");
    {

this is your error :

function OnControllerColliderHit(hit : ControllerColliderHit)

{

if(hit.gameObject.tag == "fallout"); {

   dead = true;

}

}

you should have :

function OnControllerColliderHit(hit : ControllerColliderHit) {

 if(hit.gameObject.tag == "fallout")

{

   dead = true;

} }

that is the error that i can see hope this helps :)

Not sure if it's the only error, but this line:

if(hit.gameObject.tag == "fallout");

shouldn't have the ; on the end

Yes. I also checked and cannot find any other errors. Also make sure you have your border tagged as fallout as well. ;) good luck with the Tornado Twins tutorial. although to be honest, they don't explain scripting very well.
