Make objects follow main objects exact path.
Hello, I am trying to make a snake game and managed to get my snakes head moving by rotation it (the speed is constant) and i also managed to get snake pieces (which are an instance of a small sphere object named piece) to follow the head on intervals using the Smooth Follow script from camera scripts. It works fine, the only problem is that the smooth follow fans out a bit and the pieces don't follow my snakes-head object in the exact path... Could someone help me make a script that would make my objects follow the exact same path of the snakes-head? (Btw im scripting in java mostly)
Rather than have all your pieces follow the head, have you tried chaining them (so piece 2 follows piece 1 which follows the head, etc.)?
@$$anonymous$$@Artific's suggestion is a good one. If that is not accurate enough for you, then you likely have to move to a waypoint system. At some frequency depending on how exact your want the movement, you add the position of the head to an array. The tail sections follow along the waypoints. There are UA posts on waypoints.
$$anonymous$$aybe if you put some of the code you already have I could help.

My suggestion is to add empty object bit behind snake head object and and have next snake segment object follow the the empty object with a script or navigation.
Snake segment should also have empty object behind it so that next segment would follow it.
