Particle System: Remove Unwanted Artifact

When a large particle passes through a mesh, it will create a cut-off artifact like this (look at the plane). It is not nice to look at once you have noticed it.

Is there anyway to work around this? Something like changing the render sequence of some of the particles?

It is exactly what I want. However, unfortunately, it only works in Unity Pro, which I don't have. Thanks a lot anyway.
