Can one game asset consist of 2 or more models ?
Me and my friend are making an rts game where you can make your own units out of given parts. The thing is that we dont know how to aproach this ... Should we make a different model for every combination or are we able to make one model for the body of the unit and just atach the part to it and make it function as one object inside the game.
You can have a base object, like a vehicle frame, and then make add-ons like turrets child objects of the base object.
