Problems with exporting from 3ds Max to Unity
Hey guys,
I got this problem with an 3dsmax import in Unity. We've made a world in 3dsmax and put it in Unity. But when i open it in unity i can't put a texture on it. We tried some stuff and taught we came to a solution. We would put the file in 3dsmax with a uvw mapping and then put all the mapping to 'face'.
Now we could texture our object in Unity. But, now the smoothing is kinda gone. It has no more smooth surfaces. And this is kinda an essential part to our game. And the things is that our game evolves around changing textures, so texturing the object in 3dsmax is not an option.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
Please let us know ;) Thx!
Hello, im not completely sure if i understand what u mean, but everything can be solved, do u have a screenshot of the 3Ds and Unity scenes? I think u have to collapse the stack for the smoothing problem. Not sure when i cant see it.
Yeah, it's hard to say anything. Try explaining what you mean by "texturing in Unity" and which part doesn't work.
sorry guys it's working already ;) Thanks for trying to help me anyway ! I'll make my questions more concrete next time !
