Attempting open world design, have read about streaming assets, is there a good example or open project I could download to really get a good idea how it works?
Attempting open world design in a game, have read about streaming assets as a possible method to achieve this, is there a good example or open project I could download to really get a good idea how it works?
I'm assuming it would be something like breaking the terrain into quads and when you're in one quad the streaming assets load all connecting / nearby quads... so as you move its already loading the next terrain over from where you are, but really want to see it in action to see if it's going to work for me
does anyone have a suggestion or guide for this process of creating very large or open world scenario's using strea$$anonymous$$g assets? or if there is another, better way to handle it any input would be great
