Attaching multiple objects to terrain/mesh?
I've got all these trees and rocks I want to place on the ground but I but I don't want to use the mass place feature because they're all planned out the way I want them to be (because there are multiple paths going through the gaps in the trees). Is there a way to get all the trees/objects to place themselves on the terrain?
You could try a RayCast downwards for each object, check the collision point and just place the object this way, but depending on the amount of objects that most probably wouldn't be a great solution. (or a good idea in general)
Sorry for asking, but why not just move them down in the editor? Or are you just asking to see if there is a easier way to do it ins$$anonymous$$d of having to do it for each object individually?
I wanted to see if there was n easier way to do it without moving them all individually, and your RayCast thing worked, thanks.
